Our school is very old and hasn't been updated with any innovative seating options for the classroom. As a first year teacher, I am just starting with desks, tables, and regular chairs. Teaching my students to read and write is crucial, but can be a challenge with wiggly bodies. First graders should not be expected to sit still at a desk all day! I want to provide flexible seating options for my students to move around the classroom and work in a way that is comfortable to them. Wobble stools and wobble cushions will allow students to move while still being safe and attending to their learning.
