I will be using some of the books for independent reading but most will be read alouds. These books will aid students in a love of reading and foster inclusion. Students will be able to explore their social emotional skills, and build a terrific classroom environment that promotes friendship and growth. I love sharing stories I grew up reading, and can't wait to find new favorites while reading these books with my students. One of my favorite parts of teaching is making connections with my student over literature and then helping them create their own favorites list.
