I know I speak for so many teachers, students, parents, and families when I say that this past year has been ANYTHING but "normal". The COVID-19 pandemic forced students to learn from home, and although we were fortunate enough to connect virtually, many of my current students never got a chance to meet with their classmates "in-person". The donations to this project will help me to encourage and incorporate play into my students schedule each morning. I set out a "morning tub" each morning with materials for them to express their creativity, in a relaxing, stress-free environment. These shared materials can be played with independently, or with their table-mates, but either way will create opportunities for students to learn how to share materials and work together.
