My students will benefit from the items I chose because they will allow them to work independently or in a small group while I meet with small groups of students so I can meet everyone where they are at. I will be teaching guided reading while the students work independently. By the students working independently, they will learn responsibility and problem solving. I also chose items that students may not have at home. There is so much expected of the kids at such a young age, I feel they need a little fun and play in their day. Why not have fun while learning?!
