Some of my 2nd graders are entering school for the first time in over a year and half. I want them to be engaged and to learn to think critically. I want them to work collaboratively and creatively and learn through doing rather than watching. My students can learn through testing possibilities and failing and trying again! The skills my students will learn from these STEM projects will bleed into their other curricular areas allowing them to broaden their thinking across the school day. I know these projects will enhance the learning process in my room. The items I am seeking are STEM kits, like house, vehicle, and bridge building engineering, along with building planks, made for second graders that will allow them to get hands on practice with engineering skills.
