Help me support our reading and writing units through the use of books that celebrate diversity and are relatable for my students. I plan to have interactive read alouds to support our lessons and teach my students reading and writing skills that will help them become stronger readers and writers. These books will support student learning by modeling important literacy strategies. These books will also help to inspire and motivate students throughout our literacy units. Not only would the mentor texts be used during instruction, but they would also add a variety of book choices to my classroom library for my students to read.
