In class, the students who see me will have access to a positive isolation space with a comfortable chair and posters for positive reinforcement. Additionally, I will be able to offer hygiene care packages to students in need and fresh, new uniform pants to the students who may be unable to purchase new ones. Many of my students come from very low-income neighborhoods, and offering these simple items for them will give them one less thing to worry about. Embarrassment breeds a lot of the behavioral problems that occur in school. Students who feel ashamed of their look or circumstances are prone to starting fights or disrupting class. By helping those students in need, we will be able to change the way they look on the outside to help give them a more positive look on the inside.
