When we are reading stories in our Reading block, the carpet will enable students to see where the characters are from, what states border other states, and the oceans around them. This will also help students with first sound fluency as they begin to identify states that begin with given letters, it will aid in the phonemic awareness that is essential for children as they begin to learn to read. This project will also aid in the discovery of directions such as North, South, East and west. This carpet will also aid in the basic understanding that all states are known for something. .

About my class
