In the classroom, we encourage students to write in any possible way. Students enjoy using the whiteboards to write because they get to manipulate what they write and it is fun to write on the whiteboards for them. Great checking-for-understanding tools. The individual whiteboards are great tools to check for understanding. After a lesson, I can ask the students to write what they've learned on their whiteboards and ask them to raise their whiteboards to check if they have understood the lesson content.
