These novels will be read in class and at home. We will work on making connections, delving into characters, getting lost in a setting, and learning from lessons being taught. We will contemplate the authors purpose and viewpoint, as well as our own personal emotions and opinions. We will learn about perseverance, struggles, love, and compassion. My students are working hard each day to reach their reading goals for accelerated reader and the forty book challenge. Putting books in each students hand, is so important and essential for our learning.
