Bringing these stories to the art room will help create and fun and exciting lessons to get students engaged and ready for art-making. These books will also help students connect and learn about artists, spark inspiration and discussion, and new art techniques. Having a small library of books in the art room will help me also promote literacy and get younger scholars even more excited not only to make art but also to read. These books will also give students the opportunity to practice reading and their sight words and expand literacy outside of the ELA classroom.
