After discussing new vocabulary from our novels, students have to find synonyms, antonyms and identify the part of speech for each of their words. The "student" thesaurus that we currently have in our room is very lacking in its range of words. So far, we haven't been able to find a single vocabulary word in our reference books. This is frustrating to students because they sometimes need help thinking of synonyms and antonyms. The variety of reference books I have selected have a larger selection of words and will help us all!
