Many of my students are often very apathetic when it comes to reading and I really want to change that! Students are so often asked to read works of literature about characters and experiences they are unable to identify with. This project is going to bring acclaimed works of literature into their own classroom that they will be able to relate to! They will be able to pick up a book and see themselves in the characters, relate their own struggles and experiences to those depicted in the writing, and hopefully be excited to pick up the next book that will do that exact same thing.
