After a year and a half of virtual learning, students across the nation are below grade level. Here in Nevada, our low-income students have been hit the hardest when it comes to equity. Because so many of our families are unable to afford supplies and essentials for learning at home, many of our students completely went without learning for almost 2 years. I have created this project to bring different supplies into my classroom to allow students to learn in a way that is best for them. From color coded folders for those who need differentiated organization for each subject to basic school supplies which will allow students to complete classroom work to timers that will allow students to follow behavior plans and clip boards that will allow students to get up out of their seats and move around their room to do their work. This project will allow me to bring a wide range of tools into my classroom so students can begin to understand the writing process and basic reading skills in their own ways. These materials would allow each student to utilize materials that will help them be the best learners in the classroom. By helping me fund this project, you are helping me close gaps in academic learning and build confident and fluent learners.
