My students have had only limited exposure to science in elementary and middle school, so they are finding it challenging to understand concepts of high school physical science. By giving my students the opportunity to "play" with science through the use of LEGOs, they will be able to better understand and retain concepts of force and motion. With the LEGO kits, students will be able to explore and take ownership of their own learning experiences. Experiences like these are essential for high-energy, visual, and kinesthetic learners. These kits will "pull science off the page" and give my students a chance to experience science in the real world rather than reading it in a textbook or listening to a boring lecture.
