Night is taught at the 10th grade level, but the library doesn’t have enough copies for my students in College Prep English 10. This class set will enable my students to read the book and hold it, rather than reading it online and having to print out PDFs of each chapter. Many don’t have printers, so that would also be difficult. Having a class set would also enable them to experience the joy of reading a book they can hold, especially one so powerful and moving as Night. Such a text will help them understand the value of all people and the importance of standing up for others.
