As an ELA teacher, I know that reading is not every student's favorite activity. However, I wish to provide my students the ability to develop a love for reading as well as their reading skills with high-interest materials. Graphic novels are often the books that appeal to the most reluctant readers. This project will help me build my graphic novel collection in the classroom library. I hope these graphic novels will help my students who may struggle, or simply not like, reading will be less reluctant to pick out a new book during our independent reading time.
