From the pencil pouches to the earphones, every child needs these basic supplies to ensure they are able to do their very best in a classroom. The earphones will help ensure my students are able to hear their online learning website without distractions or distracting. Coming from a low-income community, many of my students are without pencil pouches or even pencils. These will help ensure they stay organized and ready for whatever lesson I present. It is hard to have pencils without pencil sharpeners so ensuring every student of mine has one on them helps limit classroom distractions and teaches them how to prepare. My donating these materials to my classroom, this will ensure my students are able to learn without distractions and have the things they need to learn how to become productive citizens in their community. I teach my students that the best learning comes from mistakes, so I believe making sure they have erasers is extremely valuable. I love teaching math because of how hands on learning it can be. The dry-erase pockets are an easy way for them to show their work during a lesson and have fun doing it. Highlighters are a great asset in learning how to organize notes or highlighting words on a page and determining importance. As a teacher in a low-income community, it is extremely valuable for me to have a printer with ink to ensure I am able to have print-offs of any lesson material they may need quickly. The finger pointers provide a great way for me to have the students active in my lesson by helping me point to certain words on my word wall or help me with reading my objective on the board. My third grade students love being rewarded with smelly stickers but who wouldn't?
