Most of the kids I work with are being pulled in a small groups to fill any reading gap that is identified by the teachers. With games and fun activities, we work together to increase their reading skills and help to get each one to grade level. Since they are small groups, I will be able to support them socially and emotionally. Teachers have learned the best way to reach and teach their kids is to find fun ways to learn that create opportunities for hands on activities and independent practice. By doing this, kids build their confidence and pride in their skills. These items will be used to create a welcoming learning environment to help student learn to read. Some of my kids are below reading level with struggling with phonics, blends, comprehension, and fluency. I am excited to help them and watch them grow so much. I am excited about the power pens and cards as well as the VersaTiles that will help the kids take ownership in their independent learning. I am excited to use the STAAR Practice Workbooks as a resource to ensure my kids feel confident and prepared for their state exam and moving the next grade level. I will use the games and interactive cards to do one-on-one interventions with them. My kids will be so excited to receive these items and to get the opportunity to learn in a different way. I appreciate you reading my project and supporting my kids in their journey.
