AP Biology students sign up for this rigorous course because they know that they will be receiving a world class college level science experience. Biotechnology is one of the keys to sustaining the future of human life. As it has gained this importance in the world it's become more heavily integrated into the AP curriculum. This thermal cycler from MiniPCR is an incredible machine: it has been used by doctors in field hospitals identifying conditions in patients, to high school and college classes, and even aboard the International Space Station where NASA astronauts completed experiments designed by high school students. With this one tool many graduating classes of students will have the opportunity to learn the core material of AP Biology by completing advanced biotechnology labs.
