The standing desk will help my students focus more by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. My students have shorter attention spans and need multiple breaks. The standing desk will still allow some movement, but in a controlled area so that it doesn't distract other learners and will increase my students' focus a bit longer. This standing desk will be extremely beneficial for some students that just like to stand and do their work after sitting in other classes all day. It also promotes choice in the classroom during independent work times. Students are more engaged, less disruptive, and will typically complete more work when they have a choice.
