Children need to move! Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce lean, or stand, which increases oxygen blood flow to the brain and core strength. In turn, this helps the body burn more calories and keeps the brain more alert and focused.... especially the minds of our young students! Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused, and productive. Having a choice will allow students to feel empowered in the work they are completing while staying on task. This year especially, it is important that students feel comfortable in the classroom. They have been learning from home for more than a year and deserve a calm and comfortable environment. Comfortable students are engaged students!
