Students will love these "just right books." With a mix of fiction and nonfiction choices, students are sure to find books that grab their interest and make them want to read. Because of COVID, many of the students in the incoming third grade class are reading below grade level. School was interrupted in the spring of their first grade year which is a critical point in their "learning to read" journey. We then went fully remote for most of their second grade year leaving many students without books in their hands and therefore putting some students even further behind. My current third grade library is lacking books at my new students' independent reading level. By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve student literacy skills and foster their love of reading, you will ultimately help to increase their overall academic achievement.
