Please support my students as they embark on this journey to better themselves. All of my students want to be confident and capable young people and in order to do that to the best of their ability they need some support and resources. The resource needed is a book titled, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, by Angela Duckworth. This book encapsulates research and methods that students can use to be more successful. My students are driven individuals who want to better themselves and their community. This book will be a life-long tool for them to keep and refer to as they continue to grow and learn. The support will be given as students grapple with lessons presented in the book. We will apply these lessons through in-depth discussion, building community outreach, and developing mentorship opportunities in our school and local community.
