One of my goals as an ELA/ Reading teacher is to help my students develop a love of reading. What do they need to develop that love of reading? Time and great books. My students will use these books during class time for choice reading. They don’t need just any books, though. They need captivating and diverse young adult literature. My goal is to fill my classroom bookshelves with options for my students. I truly believe that all reluctant readers need is to find that one book that will turn them into avid readers.
