My new-to-me school is filled with great teachers, but not great supplies. The STEM addition and subtraction games, the Greater Than or Less Than manipulatives, and the Money Bucket of Coins will help me boost my students' ability to count to the level where it should have been if not for last year's homeschooling. Similarly, the phonics and sight word storybooks will help the students catch up on skills that they just were not able to pick up on without in-person teaching. The wooden counting blocks and other manipulative sets will help with fine motor skills, which I have quickly discovered are sorely lacking in my students. They are struggling, so what I'm looking for seems to be more for first graders and even kindergartners, but these kids need it! COVID has affected us all, but I think I can help these kids make up for lost time. The items I have listed will help them catch up to where second graders should be as they return to the classroom for the first time since the middle of kindergarten.
