I believe that social-emotional learning is foundational to all learning that occurs in the classroom. Students need to feel safe, heard, valued, and be equipped to regulate their internal feelings to perform to the best of their ability as learners. Conscious Discipline gives students the tools to identify, welcome, and work through their emotions. This is a need that I have seen grow tremendously as an educator throughout the years. Conscious Discipline's evidence-based curriculum offers students these tools in an engaging and hands-on way. I have used this program in the past and have seen students who have difficulty regulating emotions, a skill that will last a lifetime, thrive. I am so excited to introduce my students to these life-changing materials.
