By having access to quality math materials that students are motivated to use, students are more likely to develop perseverance and problem-solving skills that they will need to be successful throughout their lives, no matter what path they end up taking in their futures. By implementing math lessons and materials that are also creative as well as rigorous, moments are created that allow for more teacher-student connections, which is the heart of my classroom. I want to make sure my students to feel successful at more than just academic standards.
