My self-contained classroom consists of 23 amazing third graders. They come from a small rural town and attend our Title I school. The students vary in range of ability and are often taught in differentiated learning groups. These students have such a desire to learn and have big dreams for their futures. I want to be able to prepare them for those dreams with technology that will empower them to succeed in the 21st century. My kiddos also understand the importance of caring for our environment. Some of our classroom jobs encourage conservation, for example, the Computer Monitor powers off the computers at the end of each day; our Lights Helper switches off the lights whenever we leave the room; and the Clean-Up Crew collects papers that can be recycled.
