The Bee-bots will be used in small groups to allow collaborative learning. The collaborative learning will help develop higher-level thinking skills in students and increase their confidence and self-esteem. This will allow students to work together to discuss program ideas for their robots and give students the opportunity to learn and grow from each other. Students will use algorithms to learn how simple programs can be designed and then implemented. Students will also learn the stages of programming. The App that is associated with the Bee Bots utilizes keypad functionality and enables students to improve their skills in directional language and programming through the sequences of forwards, backwards, left and right and 90 degree turns.
