Being a proficient reader should be a goal for every student in school. Some of us need a clear and systematic way to activate the part of the brain that learns to read. The students I work with fall in that category, they need reading to be presented in a way that is systematic and explicit. It is my goal to provide materials that will make this learning easier and more accessible for my students. I will use the teaching materials to guide my teaching in a research based, systematic way. The additional materials will allow my students to interact with letters, words and phrases to become more proficient readers. By supporting our project, you will be providing students with a new confidence to tackle text and content that they have never been able to read before.
