The materials in my project will be used to help support students in a small group setting in our language arts classroom. Our students who are working on phonics skills will have the opportunity for some hands-on activities and games that will make the work that much more fun and rewarding. For those students who are no longer working on phonics skills explicitly, they will be able to focus on their reading comprehension skills with interactive small group activities.
With no fault of their own, many of my students are behind-level readers and need lots of supports and activities to help them move up! This particular group of students hasn't been in a classroom in a year and a half. Reading is difficult for many of these students, to begin with, and now, they have been struggling to get the supports they need even more.
Lastly, this project will help to keep the air clean in our classroom. After all, a student needs to be healthy and well in order to succeed in anything! Health and safety is our number one priority.
