Balanced literacy is at the foundation of a solid education. I am working hard at optimizing every aspect of this for my students. However, the kiddos need more books! The library is not accessible due to covid, and even the public library is shut down and not available. Most of my students haven't had a a real book in their hands for a year and half until they entered my classroom. Even with the books I do have, the students are reading them and re- reading them. They need more, and I'm on a journey to make sure they get what they deserve.
