The majority of this project is to help create a STEM library full of scientists who identify with one or more minority groups. The books will be used in our classroom to learn about great scientists like Neil deGrasse Tyson and Chanda Prescod-Weinstein. My hope is to create a positive environment where students can learn that their are scientists out there who look like them so they can continue to dream big and prepare for their amazing futures. In addition to books for the classroom, materials like clipboards and clocks will help keep our lessons running smoothly. Lastly, the bean bags will help keep a calm environment where students can learn comfortably about life science and dream big for their futures!
