With the books I have added to this project, I have built a variety of stories that will be used all day long. For example, we will be able to use "What Do You Do With a Problem?" for a social emotional lesson, but we can also turn around and use Ada Twist, Scientist as a read aloud before a STEM lesson. The books in this collection are a wide variety to build a classroom library--I want every student to see themselves represented in our library in a variety of ways, while also allowing all students different opportunities to learn to read and practice reading at varying levels. It is important to build a library that allows for imagination, conversation, and representation and that is exactly what I have done with these choices.
