I just started teaching at a Title 1 school and learned that I had no budget for this year. I discovered that I had five sheets of drawing paper and even less watercolor paper. Most of the scissors are falling apart. I also added Model Magic because I believe that all students would greatly benefit from tactile projects. This last year and this year may be particularly hard on the younger students. Having tactile projects really gets them physically involved in the art-making process that can have comforting benefits. I would love to have enough art material for each student to get through the year safely and ideally with lots of fun art projects.
