I teach at a minority school in a low economic school district. I truly love where I teach & what I do. My school's mascot is the Bulldogs. Our school is considered the Pound! I absolutely love my students. I always arrive with a smile on my face & a tune in my heart. I also started the boys soccer team at my school. We are going into our 3rd season. My players have never played soccer before being on my team. I played in 2 soccer leagues this past summer. My assistant & I would go pick up the players in our cars and take them home every Tuesday night so they could make it to the game. Coaching & teaching these young men & students is the most rewarding thing I ever done except my 3 personal children. For my career choice, I believe teaching chose me instead of me choosing it & was best decision for me. At times, it's heart breaking, life changing, consuming, tear spilling, loving career. I would do it all again.
