So much of students' time is spent paying attention to phone and tablet screens; I'd like to use that screen time to help improve literacy at my school. These Amazon Fire tablets will help students become better readers. Students are often asked to complete reading on their laptops, but there has been a shortage of laptops at our school. I'd like to help make our students efficient readers by showing them that reading can be fun and that technology can be used in more ways than one. Reading isn't always sitting at a desk with a book that has old, tattered pages; it can also involve multimedia in a new and interesting way.

About my class
