Science inquiry and experimentation is a large part of teaching science today. Students are required to make precise measurements and triple beam balances or scales that only measure to the nearest gram are not conducive to getting precise results, especially under the rigors of AP biology. I am requesting ten electronic balances for use in the science lab. Students in my physical science class will use the balances heavily during the chemistry unit. We make fudge to introduce the unit and these balances will allow the students to measure out the necessary materials for a perfect product-YUMMY! Students in my AP biology class spend 40-50% of their class time doing and creating labs. These balances will allow them to make precise measurements that will lead to better data and better statistical analysis.
