I am requesting a classroom set of The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna. These materials will empower my students to learn more about diversity and embrace teamwork and socialization skills. We will learn with vocabulary lessons using Quizlet online, we will develop online graphic organizers and develop online posters to express student learning throughout the book study. The students will also complete online journals using Google Docs to reflect on each chapter. We will also hold Literature Circles to develop conversational skills and to encourage and facilitate student questioning and constructive feedback. The final project for our book study will be to complete a presentation about our favorite scene within the book and to present it to classmates.
