We use shredders when discussing potential jobs and how to dispose of confidential information. One of our vocabulary words is confidential. Teaching this word helps the students understand why it is important to use shredders. In our classroom last school year we had a shredder that died, so new ones will be an enormous blessing. I am asking for two shredders because our class size has grown by a third, so it will be easier for each student to learn to operate the shredder. The students will also learn to empty the shredder and dispose of the waste.
