The students in my classes have a lot difficulty regulating their emotions. They struggle with impulse control, anger, fear, anxiety, strategic thinking, and delayed gratification. We have learned that fun and new games help teach those missing skills. Although some of my students may not go on to college, they will all be adults in our society. It is our goal that when they graduate that they can be productive members of society. I am requesting games to help my students with these skills. You may not think board games can help, but we have found tremendous success in using board games to teach a wide range of missing skills that they will need after high school.
