Right now, the books and materials offered for these students are far below their skill set. Due to ongoing COVID effects, many of them did not attend kindergarten and are in need of a cozy place where they can practice social/emotional learning and begin their journey into loving literature! Through the funding of this project, I am hoping to encourage level appropriate reading with other students, introduce a variety books with different themes and genres, and create a love of literature that can stretch far past the needs of first grade.

About my class
