These Kidney Markerboard Activity Tables are the perfect solution to a new challenge. Instead of sitting 6 students closely together at a rectangular table, with 2 students having their back to the teaching board, my goal is to seat 4 students at each kidney table. Each table offers space for students to work in his/her own space. In addition, I want to make learning fun! My students are noticeably more engaged in instruction when they are all facing the board, then using markers and the table, instead of paper and pencil, to problem solve. In addition, these tables allow me to move around the room to conduct small group instruction.
