With this set of wobble chairs, my students, who may become overwhelmed by wiggles and have too much energy to sit on a normal classroom chair and focus on their work, will be able to wobble to their hearts content while we learn to read and practice other skills. As my students grow, they will learn ways to cope with their need for sensory input or excess energy output. In the meantime, while they are still young and learning how to "do" school, outlets such as wobble chairs help them learn to self-soothe and self-regulate.
