These materials will support my ultimate goal which is to create a class environment in which students feel encouraged, motivated, heard, and inspired. Some homes may lack these elements that inspire and grow the love of math. Stickers sound like something so simple but can make the day for some students. When I give students a teacher postcard with a personal message, they feel heard and seen. A message with a stamp can also accomplish this. Once I've reached our students that way, the math learning can really take off. Aesthetically pleasing posters remind the students of their potential.
