These materials will help me inspire my 9th through 12th-grade creative writers to explore their world and create new ones. As we add diverse books to our classroom library, students will learn to make their own stories more authentic and inclusive. I've chosen portable lap desks for our outdoor excursions, great mentor texts to help them bring their own words to life, and even the literary elements packaged in hip hop rhythms of Flocabulary. These items will help them take their writing out of their journals and into the world!
