In our classroom we are constantly creating and being inspired by one another. In order to keep producing projects each child needs their own supplies. Our school is title one school and buying supplies can be an issue for many families. I would like each child to have their own set of scented markers. The scented markers bring a ridiculous amount of joy and pleasure to the children day after day. Each day it seems that the scents are new experience which is really enjoyable to watch. I would also like for them to have their own individual paint sets. Last year the paints brought a lot of happiness to the children. I like that these paints are in sticks so they will be easy to use and the colors won't run together like they do with watercolors. The skin colored pencils are an absolute necessity and it is priceless to observe the students choosing just the right shades for each person they draw. Finally the frames will be an adorable way to display their projects. Each year my students have created amazing pieces of art that have decorated the hallways of our school.
I am so excited for the year to begin so I can be motivated and invigorated by the creative minds of first graders!
