I enjoy being a school psychologist! I am grateful to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally. In a school that serves grades pre-k through 8th, it is important to have a strong foundation. My goal is to meet these needs through positive reinforcement. I'd be grateful for prizes that students can purchase with "caught being good" tickets, in order to create a school-wide token economy. What better way to teach foundational skills than by rewarding those positive behaviors we seek to see. Student's can earn tickets by being kind, responsible, following instruction, participating etc. Students will treat their tickets as money and exchange them for prizes at the end of the week. Students will be able to purchase items they like, such as food items, fidget toys, sports balls, and games. This will teach the cause and effect of being a good citizen in our community. Students will learn to save and budget money for larger purchase items. The more they are, "caught being good" the bigger and better prizes they can earn.
