I hope to create a college and career center that displays the vast variety of college opportunities available to our students. During the elementary years, students are at a crucial period when career beliefs and aspirations are being developed. As their school counselor, I hope to teach them that college is accessible and that they are capable of getting into the college of their dreams by staying on track as early as NOW. By filling our career center with an array of college pennants, I hope to cultivate a healthy development of capacity, attitudes, and interests towards higher education. Further, by filling the space with a visual representation of these institutions, this will be a more mature and inviting space that separates our middle school from primary and intermediate grades and in which students set goals and access the resources, guidance, support, and advice to necessary for their future endeavors!

About my class
